Motorist killed in U.S. 93 accident in Arizona identified

KINGMAN, Ariz. — The woman killed in a traffic accident in northwest Arizona on Wednesday has been identified as Barbara S. Clark, 77, of Bakersfield, Calif.

Clark was traveling south in a Toyota sedan when the vehicle left U.S. Highway 93 at 9:28 a.m., about 45 miles north of Kingman, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Investigators were trying to determine why the vehicle left the highway before Clark overcorrected and came back onto the highway, rolling onto the shoulder of the southbound lane.

Clark was pronounced dead at the scene.
