ACLU promotes interim director to top job
The American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada has promoted its interim director to a permanent post.
The organization announced Tuesday that Tod Story is its new executive director. Story had served as interim director since February.
ACLU Nevada board President Robert Chester said Story was chosen after an extensive nationwide search. He lauded Story’s energy, experience, and commitment to civil rights in Nevada.
Story has lived in Nevada since 1984, and previously worked on the staffs of Rep. Shelley Berkley and U.S. Sen. Richard Bryan, both D-Nev.
He has a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and has volunteered with community groups and nonprofits for years.
