This may not be a big deal for Nevadans or other westerners more accustomed to Mormons, but for the nation one of the big benefits of the Mitt Romney presidential run was to introduce the Mormon faith in a positive way to America.
As a BYU professor or religion said: “I don’t want to sound too triumphalist about it, but Mormons have had a feeling of insecurity about their status in America; we were driven from state to state. I think a lot of us see this as maybe a kind of arrival on the American scene.”
