Desert tortoises released at the Nevada National Security Site

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service releasd 60 desert tortoises at the Nevada National Security Site Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, in Mercury, Nev. The release of the animals is part of a study to determine whether the endangered reptile can be reintroduced to desert habitat.
