Motorist killed on U.S. 95 by wrong-way pickup identified

A motorist killed by a truck traveling in the wrong direction on a Las Vegas highway Sunday morning was identified Monday.

Paul Mears, 55, from Las Vegas was killed about 4 a.m. on U.S. Highway 95 near Ann Road when his car was struck by a pickup going the wrong direction.

The Nevada Highway Patrol said the pickup's driver was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. They did not release his name.

A person in another vehicle was treated for minor injuries.
