Perales, Gose pace 51s’ rout of Reno
Danny Perales had four hits, including his first home run of the season, and four RBIs to lead the 51s to a 12-4 victory over host Reno in a Pacific Coast League game Wednesday night.
Las Vegas starter Jesse Chavez (4-1) held the Aces (11-16) to one run on three hits in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out six.
Anthony Gose went 1-for-2 with three RBIs and three walks for the 51s, who drew nine walks off four Aces pitchers.
Perales' two-run homer in the second inning gave Las Vegas (11-16) a lead it didn't relinquish. The 51s, who had a 15-7 edge in hits, went up 7-1 with a three-run seventh that included two bases-loaded walks.
Reno starter Joe Martinez (0-2) gave up three runs, two earned, on four hits and four walks in five innings. Former 51s outfielder Jason Lane pitched 1 1/3 innings for the Aces was charged with three earned runs. But he walked none.
