Wranglers set home playoff dates for Kelly Cup Finals

The Wranglers will play as many as four home games in the ECHL's Kelly Cup Finals, the team announced Friday.

Las Vegas, which beat the defending champion Alaska Aces in five games in the Western Conference finals, will host the Eastern Conference winners - either the Florida Everblades or Kalamazoo K-Wings - in the best-of-7 Cup finals beginning May 14 at Orleans Arena.

The Wranglers will host Game 2 on May 15, and if Games 6 and 7 are necessary, they will host them May 25 and 26. All home games will start at 7:05 p.m.

The Eastern winner will host Games 3 and 4, and Game 5, if necessary, on dates to be determined.

Las Vegas beat Alaska 3-1 on Wednesday night in Anchorage to clinch its second Kelly Cup Finals berth. The Wranglers lost to Cincinnati in six games in 2008.
