Man dies five months after being found beaten in street

RENO - Reno police said that a man who was found beaten in the street five months ago has died of his injuries.

Police say 47-year-old Felix Balderas died Wednesday.

Balderas was found on East Grove Street on Dec. 17.

Police said his injuries were initially thought to be minor, but his condition deteriorated over the following weeks and he was placed on life support on Jan. 13.

Two suspects, 45-year-old Nancy Leeann Williams and 25-year-old Joshua Williams were arrested in January on charges of battery causing substantial bodily harm and conspiracy.

Police on Wednesday said investigators are working with the medical examiner and district attorney's office to determine a cause of death and whether additional criminal charges in the case will be filed.
