The Mesquite Library will close for a month beginning June 9 for remodeling and construction, the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District announced.

A 2,664-square-foot modular building will be added to the facility.

During the closure, which is expected to last until mid-July, limited library services will be available at the Mesquite Fine Arts Center & Gallery. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Customers can pick up hold requests, and a limited number of adult and children's books, DVDs, music CDs and audiobooks will be available for browsing. Daily newspapers will also be available. Public computers and Wi-Fi will not be available.

The book drop will be open for book returns during the closure. It is on the east side of the parking lot of the Mesquite Library, as well as the fine arts center.
