SANTANA OFFICIALLY KICKS OFF RESIDENCY

Carlos Santana officially kicked off his residency at House of Blues (Mandalay Bay) on Friday. Top: Santana, whose show “An Intimate Evening with Santana” is schedule for a two-year run, joined actor/House of Blues co-founder Dan Aykroyd (center) and Michael Lang (left), co-founder of the original Woodstock Music & Art Fair, for a mud ceremony. The entertainers combined dirt from the town of Clarksdale in the Mississippi Delta with dirt from Bethel, New York, from the site of the Woodstock Festival and mud from Santana's hometown of Autlan de Navarro, Jalisco, in Mexico.
