PETS: Readers send in photos of their animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to View’s pets section. Because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these extra faces, and remind you to check back each Tuesday for more photos of your best friends.

“Gracie adopted us six years ago and moved her three baby kittens into our backyard,” wrote Bonni Reinertson of Las Vegas. “My husband repeatedly stressed there was no way we were going to keep all of them, but six years later, they are all indoors and the best pets ever!”

Paula Paley of Las Vegas shared this photo of her Yorkshire terrier, Mile-a-Minute Maggie. “She’s going to be 13 years old in August. She loves to carry her bumble bee on our walks, and she sits on the back of the couch to look out the window. Let’s just say I’ve given up cleaning that window.”

Brittni Stroup of Henderson shared this photo of Max, a 5-year-old chow-husky mix. “Max is returning from the groomer. He is quite the charmer and loves to show off his new look after being groomed.”

Kelly Guillen of Las Vegas shared this photo of her 1-year-old cat, Mickey Blue. “I adopted him from PetSmart on Eastern Avenue in 2011. ... He is a chocolate point-Siamese mix and has brought a lot of joy into my life. He loves sitting by the window watching birds fly by the trees. He never wants to be alone and likes being held like a baby. His favorite toys are plastic bottle caps and red noisy balls.”
