Worth a Drive

A Dive In Movie Night is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Pavilion Center Pool, 101 N. Pavilion Center Drive. Light refreshments will be provided. The movie title will be announced. The cost is $3. On Sunday, the pool plans to host a Dear Ol' Dad's Day event from noon to 6 p.m. in honor of Father's Day. Music Americana Volume 1 is to kick off a summer music series with styles such as blues, bluegrass, classic rock, country, folk, jazz, reggae and rock 'n' roll from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 30 at the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, 6725 Lee Canyon Road on Mount Charleston. The lineup is to include Rick Estrin & The Nightcats, John Earl's Boogieman Band, Moaning Black Snakes and Las Vegas' Tommy Rocker. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12 and can be purchased the day of the event at the resort. A discounted package rate of $50 for all four concerts is to be available for purchase online. Gates are set to open at 10:30 a.m., and guests can bring chairs, blankets and umbrellas for the festival-style seating. Free parking is available, and guests can ride the complimentary shuttle from the parking lot. A limited food and beverage menu is to be available.
