Son of Douglas County sheriff’s captain sentenced to prison

MINDEN -- The son of a Douglas County sheriff's captain has been sentenced to prison for pointing a gun at his father who was intervening in a child custody dispute.

Matthew Aymami was sentenced by District Judge Dave Gamble last week, the Tahoe Daily Tribune reported.

Aymami pleaded guilty to one count of attempted assault with a deadly weapon in November. Prosecutors dropped a child abuse charge.
