Pahrump man arrested on child porn charges

A 60-year-old Pahrump man was arrested Friday on charges of possessing child pornography after the Nye County sheriff's office received information that he had pornographic images on his computer, according to authorities.

Officers issued a search warrant for Victor Troutman's computer and discovered several images of children and movies of children engaging in various sexual acts with adults, according to the sheriff's office. The children are believed to be as young as 12 years old.

Troutman told officers that he had knowingly downloaded the images and kept them on his computer, according to the sheriff's office. He was booked into the Nye County Detention Center in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Authorities are asking that anyone with information about the case to contact Detective Mike Eisenloffel at 775-751-7000.
