Bounahra out in seventh place; six players left

Badih Bounahra of Belize was eliminated in seventh place in the World Series of Poker’s Main Event, earning $1,314,097.

Bounahra, who began the day in sixth place, spiraled downward after the 54th hand when he lost a large pot to Matt Giannetti.

He was eliminated on the 67th hand, losing to Martin Staszko of the Czech Republic.

Pius Heinz continues as the chip leader with 52.4 million. Giannetti, a few hands earlier, moved into second place with 48.975 million. Staszko, who began the day in first, had 46.650 million.

Six players remain on contention.
