Las Vegas hotels and shows are always changing to draw you back

If it's been several years since you were in Las Vegas, don't worry. Going for another visit won't be boring - because it won't be the same.

Las Vegas hotels, shows, activities and even the gambling is continuously changing, so much so that if it's been 10 years since your last visit - or even just a couple of years - making a return trip will be like visiting for the first time.

There is so much happening in Las Vegas, it will take you years to experience it all. And if you need a break from the lights and sounds of Sin City, there are plenty of Las Vegas vacation packages available for side trips to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and other national parks.

Some of the most recent changes include:

* The Cosmopolitan hotel opened in 2010 and has some very glitzy and glamorous shops on the second story that are beautiful to walk through, even if you're only window shopping.

* Aria Resort and Casino opened in 2009 with the "Viva Elvis" Cirque du Soleil show. If those attractions aren't enough, the hotel also sports City Center Fine Art Collection, the first major permanent collection of art in Las Vegas.

* Celine Dion is back with a 31-piece orchestra, reopening her show at Caesars Palace in March of 2011 for three years.

* "The Lion King" opened at Mandalay Bay in 2010 and is one of the most popular shows on the strip. This is the same show that is also featured on Broadway in New York.

* Cirque du Soleil has expanded it's offerings in the last 10 years. What used to be just "Mystere" and "O," has now expanded to include "Zumanity," "KA," "Love," "Criss Angel Believe" and "Viva Elvis." Each show has a unique spin and on the Cirque du Soleil talents, so you'll be wanting to catch a new show on every trip to Las Vegas.

And if you're a shopaholic, you'll never be disappointed in the offerings of Las Vegas. There are always new stores opening to compete for your attention with the traditional designer names already established.

So if it's been two years or 10, start searching for cheap flights to Las Vegas online and catch up on all the activities you've missed.
