Seniors to tour Pahrump Valley Winery

The Parkdale Senior Center, 3200 Ferndale St., plans to host a trip to the Pahrump Valley Winery and its Symphony's Restaurant from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday . Seniors 50 or older are scheduled to travel by bus to enjoy a tour of the winery, a wine-tasting experience and lunch at the restaurant.

The cost of the tour is $30 paid on the day of trip directly to the winery. Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended. The travel is free, but space is limited. To reserve a spot, call 455-8502.

Yu-Gi-Oh! open dueling scheduled.

Open play of Yu-Gi-Oh!, a collectable trading card game, is scheduled from
3:30 to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Sunrise Library, 400 Harris Ave. Players must bring their own decks. Buying, selling or playing for cards is not allowed. For details, call 507-3900.

Walnut recreation center offers
body tune up class

The Body Tune Up, a self-directed exercise class, is scheduled from
7:15 to 8:15 a.m. Mondays and Fridays at the Walnut Recreation Center, 3075 N. Walnut Road. Participants are set to exercise to a variety of fitness videos that focus on cardio, strength and flexibility training. The program is free, but participants must sign up in advance. Portrait show set for Winchester

"Made in Las Vegas," a series of portraits of family, friends and patrons by Martin Kreloff, is set to be shown April 5 through June 3 in the gallery at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. An opening reception is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 8, and an artist's talk is scheduled at 1 p.m. May 4 in the Winchester Theater. The events are free. Ask-A-Lawyer program
open to those facing foreclosure

The Ask-A-Lawyer program is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon April 12 at the Regional Justice Center, 200 Lewis Ave. Registration begins at 8 a.m. the day of the session.

Homeowners who are going through foreclosure and have elected foreclosure mediation in an effort to save their homes and have questions in preparation for their mediations can receive free legal advice at the Regional Justice Center's Self Help Civil Law Center through a program run by the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada.

Another event is planned for April 26.

Senior Ballroom dance, yoga classes planned at cora coleman senior center

A six-week session of ballroom dance classes for seniors 50 or older is scheduled from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays starting April 12 at the Cora Coleman Senior Center, 2100 Bonnie Lane. Participants must have a dance partner for the class. The cost of the class is $37 per person.

A six-week session of yoga classes for seniors 50 or older is scheduled from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays starting April 11 at the center. The cost of the class is $26. For more information, call 455-7617.

Skate City announces Video contest

Skate City Skate Park announced a contest for videos of skaters at the 4915 Steptoe St., No. 600, indoor facility. Videos must be under five minutes. The deadline for submissions is April 10.

Prizes include cash, free skating and shirts. The winners are expected to be announced April 16 during a BBQ and Skatefest scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Winning videos will be featured at skatecity.com.

Shrek sequel set for screening

"Shrek Forever After" is set to be shown at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Sunrise Library, 5400 Harris Ave. The fourth film in the series features the titular ogre trying to undo a deal with the unscrupulous Rumplestiltskin. Republican Women's Club to host membership drive, fundraiser

The Spring Mountain Republican Women's Club plans to host a membership drive and wine tasting fund raiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Total Wine & More, 730 S. Rampart Blvd.

Drag racing series set for weekend

The NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series is set to return for the 12th annual NHRA National Friday through Sunday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Tickets are $99 to $129 for adults and $38 to $68 for children 6 to 12. Children 5 or younger get general admission seating free or can get reserved seating for $30.
