Broadway comes closer to home as the UNLV Performing Arts Center presents Tony award-winning hits from Broadway's greatest musicals as part of the New York Stage & Beyond Series, set for 8 p.m. Saturday in the center on UNLV's campus, 4505 S. Maryland Parkway.
Three Broadway stars -- James Barbour, Julia Murney and Lauren Kennedy -- are slated to perform an evening of Broadway's greatest songs from hit musicals such as "West Side Story," "Gypsy," "Grease" and "Wicked."
Tickets are $40, $55 and $85 and can be purchased at the Performing Arts Center box office at 895-2787 or by visiting pac.unlv.edu.
Student rush tickets are $13 each and available one hour before each event, based on availability and with valid student I D.
UNLV faculty and staff discounts also are available.
CROWN NIGHTCLUB TO FEATURE
HIP-HOP AND SINFUL SATURDAYS
Crown Nightclub inside the Rio is scheduled to feature upscale hip-hop and rhythm and blues along with an open bar until midnight Thursday.
Mia Amore from KVEG-FM 97.5 is scheduled to be on the scene beginning at 10:30 p.m. Friday. Admission is $20. Women get free champagne until midnight.
Saturday night will bring the club's Sinful Saturday promotion with resident DJ Dre Dae.
Admission is $30.

PURE ALOHA FESTIVAL COMES TO LAS VEGAS
The 10th annual Pure Aloha Festival is scheduled to take place April 14-17 at the Silverton, 3333 Blue Diamond Road.
Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the event gate. The discounted $5 rate is available for seniors 55 or older, those with military ID and children under 10.
Concert tickets are $38 and $28.
The concert series will feature J Boog, Fiji and Bonafide on April 15 and Kapena on April 16.

Clark county MUSEUM exhibit
SHOWCASES PUEBLO INDIAN CULTURE
The Clark County Museum, 1830 S. Boulder Highway, plans to host a new exhibit, "Pueblo Indian Art: Ongoing Traditions," through June 2.
Guests can enjoy 150 years of Pueblo Indian culture, including jewelry, pottery, baskets, textiles and artifacts.
Admission to the exhibit is $2. The museum is open from 9 a.m. to
4:30 p.m. daily.
