Mattress fire at Bally’s causes unknown injuries to one person

A mattress caught fire Sunday afternoon at Bally's hotel room on the 25th floor causing one person to be hospitalized with unknown injuries, a Clark County official said.

County spokesman Dan Kulin said firefighters were alerted to the blaze at the Strip resort about 2:40 p.m. He said a mattress caught fire. The fire was extinguished by 3:15 p.m.

Kulin said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
