Man found dead in North Las Vegas neighborhood

North Las Vegas police are investigating the death of a man found in the street in a neighborhood near Simmons Street and Carey Avenue.

Police said the Hispanic man, believed to be in his early- to mid-20s, was found on the 2200 block of Superior Position Street following reports of gunshots in the area. The department has not released his identity or said how he died but it is treating the death as a homicide.

Witnesses reported the incident to police about 4:45 p.m. Police are searching for suspects in the incident but have not released their descriptions. A Hispanic man was seen limping northbound from the scene, but police don't know if the man was a suspect or another victim of the shooting.
