Henderson homicide victim named

A man whose recent death was labeled "suspicious" by Henderson police was identified by the Clark County coroner's office as 23-year-old Joshua Allen Dufort.

The coroner's office said the Henderson man died from blunt force trauma to the head. He was also strangled.

Henderson police said Dufort's body was discovered Monday at about 5:30 a.m. on Pecos Ridge Parkway near Eastern Avenue. An initial autopsy showed suspicious injuries, police said.

Police spokesman Keith Paul said Wednesday the case is ongoing.
