Mom: Teens should recover from lightning strike

A mother says she thinks two southern Utah 17-year-olds will fully recover after being struck by lightning outside their high school, but probably will have lifelong burn scars.

Kaleen Talley told reporters Wednesday at University Medical Center that Christopher Zdunich and her son, Alex Lambson, are recovering from their injuries.

Hospital officials said they remain in critical condition, and Lambson was in an induced coma to deal with pain.

The boys were injured when a bolt of lightning hit near them Tuesday after classes outside Snow Canyon High School in Santa Clara, Utah.
