NFR contestants aim for Top Gun

If a $5.875 million purse isn’t enough motivation, add a new truck and gun to further spur the efforts of rodeo athletes in the National Finals Rodeo.

The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association will present the NFR Top Gun Award to the National Finals contestant who earns the most money during the Dec. 2-11 event at the Thomas & Mack Center.

The top money winner will receive a Dodge Ram truck, custom buckle from Montana Silversmiths and one-of-a-kind Ram Truck Top Gun-branded rifle from Commemorative Firearms.

The prizes are available to all contestants including barrel racing in the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association.

What’s more western than a truck, big buckle and rifle?
