Football! Go Cardinals!

The National Football League season opened last night with a record teevee audience. Not a particularly exciting game, either.

You can bet I'll be watching the 2011 NFC champions this Sunday -- the Arizona Cardinals. A great line on both sides of the ball, way under-rated and therefore still a bargain, if you're so inclined to partake in the mysteries of a sports book. (A word of warning, however, I hardly ever bet more than $5 a game, occasionally play a parlay ticket and I had my granddaughter pick the "winners" in this week's weekly football contest.)

Also, if the Cardinals lose to the Rams this weekend, then disregard that 2011 NFC comment. I meant 2012.
