DCCC: We’re all in for Titus

Andrew Stone, spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, says the group's independent fundraising arm does, indeed, have an ad buy planned in support of Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev., in early October.

Thursday morning Smart Media Group, a Republican-leaning publicity firm based in Alexandria, Va., reported via Twitter that the DCCC wasn't going through with a planned buy in support of Titus, and suggested it meant they were losing confidence in the race.

DCCC spokesman Andrew Stone said Thursday morning it was more likely a reflection of Titus' strength.

On Thursday afternoon, however, Stone reached out to say the buy worth more than $1 million is still in the works.

"The claim is false and we are fully committed in this district," Stone said.
