Las Vegas man killed in crosswalk identified

A 19-year-old man who died Wednesday from injuries he suffered while crossing a Henderson street Sunday was identified by the Clark County coroner's office as Stephonne Baker.

Baker, of Las Vegas, was crossing Sunset Road at Marks Street about 5:30 p.m. in the crosswalk, Henderson police said. However, he was crossing against the light.

While crossing the street, the westbound light on Sunset was green. Police said 20-year-old Kristina Intinarelli, driving a 1996 Subaru, entered the intersection and hit Baker with enough force to send him into the windshield and then over the top of the Subaru, landing on the road.

He was taken to Sunrise Medical Center where he died Wednesday morning.

Police investigators do not believe alcohol or speed were factors in the crash. Intinarelli volunteered a blood sample for alcohol and drug testing.

She has not been charged in connection with the incident, but the investigation is ongoing, police said.

The incident marked the sixth traffic-related fatality under the jurisdiction of Henderson police in 2010.
