Homeward-bound 51s routed, 12-2

Jackson Williams hit a grand slam to highlight a 7-run seventh-inning, lifting the Fresno Grizzlies to a 12-2 victory over the 51s Sunday in a Pacific Coast League game in Fresno, Calif.

The 51s were still in the game, trailing 4-0, when Williams hit his first homer of the season, clearing the bases off Las Vegas relief pitcher Bubbie Buzachero.

Grizzlies right-hander Matt Yourkin (8-3) pitched seven scoreless innings and scattered six hits.

Las Vegas starter Rommie Lewis (1-4) lasted five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits. Buzachero was roughed up for eight hits and eight runs in one inning of relief.

Brad Emaus and Aaron Mathews had two hits each for the 51s, who managed eight hits against three Fresno pitchers.

All nine starters in the Grizzlies' lineup hit safely as Fresno battered Las Vegas pitching for 18 hits. Emmanuel Burriss, Jesus Guzman and Tyler Graham had three hits each for the Grizzlies.

The 51s committed four errors.
