Man, woman die after car hits wall

A man and woman in their 80s died after their car slammed into a wall at the corner of Mountain Vista Street and Vegas Valley Drive on Monday afternoon.

Las Vegas police said it was unknown whether the 80-year-old male driver suffered a medical episode that caused the 2:29 p.m. accident. Police said the car drifted off the southbound lanes of Mountain Vista and into a block wall on the south side of Vegas Valley.

The man and the 87-year-old woman with him were pronounced dead at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
