Man dies in early-morning motorcycle crash

A 31-year-old man was killed early Thursday morning after losing control of his motorcycle.

Las Vegas police said the rider, who was not identified, was traveling north on Buffalo Drive near Peacock Avenue about 1:30 a.m. when his 2007 Harley Davidson Street Glide struck the curb, slid onto the sidewalk and hit a large boulder.

The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Clark County coroner's office will identify the man.
