Lake fencing to be down soon

RENO -- Reno officials say fencing from a delayed remodeling project at Virginia Lake is expected to come down in the next few days.

The project involves shoreline stabilization of an interior pathway at the lake.

Plans also call for landscaping improvement and the installment of new park benches.

Construction was scheduled to have been finished this past fall, but a fence remained after an unexpected change was noticed in elevations, which prevented planting or irrigation work.
