Dawn Gibbons ends radio show

RENO -- Dawn Gibbons' brief radio career has come to an end.

Station officials in Reno confirm Nevada's former first lady made her last appearance June 15 on her talk show on KBZZ-AM, 1270.

Dan Fritz, the station's director of talk programming, said Gibbons had been taking on some other projects and found it "a bit onerous to produce a daily talk show."

Gibbons began the show on March 30.

Fritz said they parted on the best of terms and have invited her to return as a guest. He said her departure has nothing to do with Gov. Jim Gibbons becoming the first sitting governor in Nevada history to lose his party primary earlier this month
