Man dies after crashing into tree

A Honolulu man was killed early Thursday morning after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree, according to Las Vegas police.

The accident happened at 2:40 a.m. on Warm Springs Road near Windy Street, police said. The unidentified 41-year-old man was driving a 2010 Suzuki SX4 eastbound on Warm Springs when, for unknown reasons, crossed the intersection and struck a palm tree, rolling the vehicle onto its side.

The man was transported to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
