Angle teams with Scott Brown online strategists
No doubt hoping to capture some of his online fundraising magic, Republican Senate hopeful Sharron Angle has hooked up with an Indiana-based communications group that helped Sen. Scott Brown get elected in Massachusetts this year.
The Prosper Group Corporation is the registrant for Angle's reworked website, a discovery made by an MSNBC staffer and posted to the blog of host Rachel Maddow.
Prosper devised the online strategy that it said raised $12 million for Brown, the Republican who pulled off an upset in January over Democrat Martha Coakley to capture Ted Kennedy's long-held seat in the Bay State.
The company is headed by Kristen and Kurt Luidhardt. She is former communication director for Rep. Dan Burton, R-Ind.
Since winning the Republican primary in Nevada on Tuesday, Angle has been all about raising money, stripping her website except for an appeal for supporters to send her cash to challenge incumbent Sen. Harry Reid.
Critics also noted Angle took down any information related to her positions on the issues, surmising she might be giving that section a scrub. An issues page has been reposted.
