Mr. Franklin’s new face, now on Facebook

It’s all about the new Benjamins, even on Facebook. That's right, the new $100 bill, which features a plethora of high-tech and harder-to-counterfeit features and a smiling Ben Franklin, has a home in cyberspace. Several homes, in fact; the U.S. government is using many channels to get out the word about the new C-note.

Since my wallet sees a $100 bill less frequently than it sees a $2 bill, I'll wait for people packing loaded money clips to tell me how the new currency feels and smells. Thanks to many online images and videos, I have an excellent grasp of how it looks. I like the multicolor aspect and the "moving microprint technology." The bills even sound harder to counterfeit.

You can become a Facebook fan (click the thumbs-up image near the "like" link) of U.S. currency here: (http://www.facebook.com/uscurrency)

For more details on the new bill, along with videos and information on the rest of the folding money issued by the federal government, see the new-money site: (http://www.newmoney.gov/)
