Woman pleads guilty in DUI death

A 29-year-old Las Vegas woman on Tuesday pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of liquor resulting in death.

Miranda Dalton was charged with the April 9 death of Paul Maidman after the Jeep Grand Cherokee she was driving struck Maidman's Buick Century on Cheyenne Avenue, near Rampart Boulevard. Maidman, 28, from Las Vegas, was pronounced dead at University Medical Center.

Dalton remained in custody at the Clark County Detention Center, according to jail records. She is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 16 before District Judge Jennifer Togliatti.
