Funeral procession path for slain courthouse security officer released

Las Vegas police released the route Friday for the procession leading to the funeral of Stan Cooper, the security officer killed Monday in a shootout at Lloyd George U.S. Courthouse.

The procession begins between 11:30 a.m. and noon Monday at the Palm Mortuary funeral home at 1325 N. Main Street in the central valley. It ends at Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive in Henderson, shortly before 1 p.m.

The motorcade will drive on the Strip. Rolling road closures are planned. Here is the motorcade path:

• Departs Palm Mortuary funeral home and heads north toward Owens Avenue.

• East on Owens toward Las Vegas Boulevard.

• South on Las Vegas Boulevard toward the Las Vegas Beltway.

• Southeast on the Beltway toward U.S. Highway 95.

• North on 95 toward Russell Road.

• East on Russell to destination point, Central Christian Church.
