Student arrested for bringing gun to school

A student at Cimarron-Memorial High School was arrested Thursday for bringing a handgun onto campus, said Lt. Ken Young of the Clark County School District Police.

Young said he could not say where the boy was arrested as information was still being gathered.

The boy was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon.

Information about the student was not immediately available.

The high school is at 2301 N. Tenaya Way at Smoke Ranch Road in northwest Las Vegas.
