Man’s body found near City Hall parking garage

A man’s body was found this morning at the southeast corner of Las Vegas City Hall’s public parking garage near Stewart Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, police said.

The unidentified man who appeared to be in his 50s likely jumped from an upper floor of the seven-level garage, said Barbara Morgan, public information officer for Las Vegas police.

“It appears to be a suicide, but we’re still investigating,” she said.

A passerby contacted police about the body at 11:19 a.m.

The man was declared dead at the scene, Morgan said.
