Saint Paul - Tepid favorite in a wide open opener; key will be if he or Fiery Trippi take early control.

Long Shot - Fiery Trippi

Race 2 - 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $40,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds and up

Blazing Spirit - Tiny edge in another tight fit; was really rolling in last, but had too much to do late.

Fire Break - Was a head in front of the chalk last time; Joel Rosario replaces Bejarano who opted for Concerto's Thunder.

Long Shot - Concerto's Thunder

Race 3 - 7 furlongs, Purse $36,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds

Boulder Creek - Decent debut down the hillside turf course; could leg him up better for this elongated sprint.

Blazing - Logical chalk ran like a typical green baby, slow early, fast late; a better start can only help.

Long Shot - Duke of Aspen

Race 4 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $16,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds and up

Major Smoke - Like the parking lot post in this elongated sprint; edge of recent action versus comebacking favorites.

Crash Landing - Been away 13-months; is dropped in for a price tag, working bullets and gets Rafael Bejarano.

Long Shot - Abalanche

Race 5 - 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, Cal-breds, Fillies, 2-year-olds

Creme Dela Suances - Even debut and seems to have room to improve; took money for the clever Darrell Vienna barn.

My Secret Weapon - Ed Moger takes the blinkers off tonight; showing slow, but steady, improvement.

Long Shot - Gambling Pokerface

Buyer's Remorse - Was flattered when Cardiff Giant won next out; blinkers on really improved this gelding.

Warren's Doc Gus - Was overmatched in the Cal Cup Juvenile; suspect he can repeat the maiden win, a good effort.

Long Shot - Cat Calloway

Monolingual - Big rider switch to Rafael Bejarano for the money shot; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.

Korban - Fourth behind the favorite in last; like that Garrett Gomez remains loyal to the cause.

Long Shot - Cat Brulay

Race 8 - 7 1/2 furlongs, $75,000 On Trust, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

Star Nicholas - Best as a late closing 1-turn sprinter; he loves Hollywood and this elongated sprint distance.

Bestdressed - Never got undeway in last after an big try two back; big rider switch to Joel Rosario.

Long Shot - Big Bad Leroybrown

Race 9 - 6 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $36,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up

Itssultryinthecape - Just missed last time in a winning effort; key question is tries turf for the first time.

Exile - Never had a chance last time as a beaten favorite; Richard Mandella adds blinkers on for this.
