After the victim resisted, one of the suspects shot the man and both fled on foot, police said. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending identification and notification of next of kin.

The woman received a minor injury in the incident, police said, but was not shot.

The suspects were described as two black males. No vehicle was observed.
