Obama talks openness but fails to deliver

On Monday the Obama administration conducted a workshop on governmental openness. You guessed it. It was closed to the public.

Obama came into office promising the most transparent administration ever, writing memos on the topic on his first full day in office.

His only big claim to laying all on the table is Recovery.gov, that purports to tell how stimulus money was spent. It is mostly fiction and bad math.

He promised to release photos of terrorist suspect detainees. He reneged.

AP reporter Sharon Theimer has the scorecard on the openness of this White House and its executive branch and it ain't much to brag about.
