Strong winds expected Tuesday

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a wind advisory for western Clark County and southern Nye County, in effect from 10 a.m. to midnight Tuesday.

Strong northwest winds are expected to develop following the passage of a strong cold front through central Nevada, according to a statement on the National Weather Service's Web site.

Winds from 20 to 35 mph are expected, with gusts possibly reaching 50 mph.

Drivers of high-profile trucks should use extra caution in high winds.
