More on Afghanistan surge

Since last night's blog post on the Afghanistan surge, I have been using Twitter to post short items about the president's speech and the analysis that has followed. Here are some of those tweets:

- Agree or not with Obama's Afghan surge, this much is true: It's not a paradigm shift. It's basically a more thoughtful version of the same.

- Wash Post's Joel Achenbach on the Obama doctrine that wars have budget limitations like everything else: http://tinyurl.com/yfa6fsh

- Lefties are howling about Obama's Afghan buildup, but consider: Obama's entire plan really is an exit strategy. He wants out of there asap.
