Man killed, another hurt in shooting at house party

A man was fatally shot and another man was injured at a house party near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Carey Avenue on Friday night.

Las Vegas police did not release the identity of the deceased or the injured man. Police said at 9:32 p.m. they were called to a home on the 1300 block of Blankenship Avenue, where a “small party” occurred.

Upon arriving, they found a man shot multiple times, and another man who had been shot in the elbow. Both victims were transported to University Medical Center.

Police said a suspect described as a 31-year-old black man fled the party on foot. The shooting was the result of an argument.
