• Because of an editing mistake, an item in Norm Clarke's column on Monday was incorrect. Bill Walton told a gathering Saturday at the Palms to celebrate veteran sports reporter Jim Gray's 50th birthday that he did Gray a disservice and owed him an apology. Walton recalled a time when Phil Jackson refused to do a post-game interview if Gray were in the room. Gray eventually left the room, and Walton filled in for him. "I should have punched (Jackson) in the nose and walked out," Walton said.

• A story in Wednesday's Las Vegas Review-Journal on detainment of journalists in a courtroom contained an error. An Associated Press letter protesting the detainment was a draft. The letter was sent Wednesday.
