‘Nina’ signs posted along Las Vegas freeways

Several signs bearing an apparent reference to KTNV-TV Channel 13 anchor Nina Radetich were placed on valley overpasses this morning. Motorists were met with signs reading "Nina Lies" and "Nina Lies at 11" as well as the number 13 along U.S. Highway 95 and the Summerlin Parkway just before 9 a.m. today.

It wasn't immediately known who placed the signs on the overpasses.

Radetich has been embroiled in controversy since a Las Vegas Sun report exposed recordings of the anchor offering her boyfriend's media-spin help to Tire Works, an auto repair chain under investigation by Channel 13 for alleged fraudulent practices.

Bob McKenzie, spokesman for the Nevada Department of Transportation, said signs on the overpasses aren't permitted and maintenance crews were being sent to investigate the signage.

McKenzie said no penalty will be assessed.
