Reid says no holiday unless the work is done
Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., is laying down the law with his Senate colleagues.
Reid, the Senate majority leader, says he'll cancel the Columbus Day break in October if the legislative body doesn't get its work done first.
Here's how The Hill reported Reid's ultimatum to Sen. Mitch McConnel, R-Ky.:
“We have many times in the past taken that because there’s so much work to do at home, but we can’t do that unless we complete our work here. I’ve explained that to the Republican leader.”
