Former Arbor View lineman won’t be headed to UNLV

Former Arbor View High School defensive lineman Kenny Mack, who originally gave an oral commitment to UNLV in April, instead plans to play for Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kan., Arbor View coach Dan Barnson said Monday.

Mack did not graduate from Arbor View but is practicing on scholarship with Fort Scott in hopes of becoming eligible to join a four-year program, Barnson said.

Along with UNLV, Nebraska also had Mack high on its radar, Barnson said.

The 6-foot-3-inch, 270-pound Mack recorded 53 tackles and one sack last season, helping Arbor View to a 6-4 record.
