Man held in fatal shooting

A 28-year-old North Las Vegas man was arrested Monday in connection with the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man in June, North Las Vegas police said.

Police said Jarrel Young was arrested in the 5300 block of W. Desert Inn Road in the June 12 slaying of Brandon Manor. Manor was killed at the Cheyenne Villas apartments, 3260 Fountain Falls Way, near Cheyenne Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Police said Young was arrested by members of the Criminal Apprehension Team, the Safe Streets Gang Task Force and North Las Vegas police detectives. Young faces a charge of murder with a deadly weapon, police said.
