Valley boy struck by stray gunfire

A boy was struck by stray gunfire when people in two vehicles began firing at each other in a northeast valley neighborhood this afternoon.

Las Vegas police said the boy was hit in the left shoulder in the 4 p.m. shooting at the intersection of Kell Lane and Marion Drive, near Lake Mead and Lamb boulevards.

His age was not immediately available.

Police were searching for two cars that were chasing each other prior to the shooting.

He was taken to University Medical Center. His condition was not available.
